Privacy Policy

Honos ("Honos," "we," "us") provides reputation-management software for home-service contractors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to honosai.com and the Honos application.
Information we collect
- Account information. When a contractor signs up, we collect business name, contact name, email address, phone number, and login credentials (passwords are stored only as a salted hash).
- Your customers' contact details. To send review requests on a contractor's behalf, we process the customer names, phone numbers, and email addresses the contractor provides or that flow in from a connected system (for example, a closed job in their field-service software).
- Review and feedback content. Reviews, ratings, and replies associated with the contractor's connected profiles, and messages exchanged through Honos.
- Connected-account data. When a contractor links a third-party account (such as Google Business Profile or a field-service tool), we access the data needed to provide the service, using tokens the contractor authorizes and can revoke at any time.
- Usage and device data. Standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To send review-request text messages and emails to a contractor's customers on the contractor's behalf.
- To analyze and categorize incoming reviews and draft suggested replies, which the contractor reviews before publishing.
- To provide dashboards, performance metrics, and local-SEO insights.
- To operate, secure, support, and improve the service, and to communicate with account holders.
Text messaging and consent
Honos sends SMS messages to a contractor's customers at the contractor's direction. Recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages and HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. We do not use phone numbers for our own marketing, and we honor opt-out requests across the service.
Service providers
We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, under contract, only to provide the service. These include Twilio (text messaging), Google (Business Profile integration), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (AI analysis of review content), and our hosting and email providers. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as an account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations. A contractor can request deletion of their account data as described below.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and encrypted off-site backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information against unauthorized access or disclosure.
Your choices
Account holders can update their information in the app, disconnect any linked third-party account at any time, and request access to or deletion of their data by emailing us. Customers receiving messages can opt out by replying STOP.
Children
The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
